What is hot for 2009/2010? from weddingandbaby.co.uk

Hats are out for the Mother of the Bride or Groom! These Yummy Mummy's are going for a fashion focused approach that breaks with tradition. We have numerous Mother's telling us "I am not wearing a hat" and why should they. Fascinators are not only more versatile, they offer the halfway between hats and hairpins. Most of all they can be used again more easily than hats.

Fascinators are not only for the mothers and the guests, they have been gracing the catwalks of leading fashion designers this season. So if your a Bride who just doesn't do tiaras, fascinators are right on trend in all aspects of fashion.

Top Tips for Wedding Fascinators

  • Fascinators can be worn by any age group.
  • Pick your outfit before you think about accessories.
  • Don't try to match colours perfectly as this is not always possible.
  • Try a lighter or darker tone or pick out another colour that features in your outfit.
  • Similarly go for a completely different colour like black, white, silver or gold. Sometimes a complete contrast works much better.
  • Consider your hairstyle and head size.
  • Small heads carry off neat little fascinators better.
  • Long faces need a streamlined design that doesn't have too much height.
  • Fascinators come on headbands, combs and clips so your sure to get something that suits your hairstyle.

So what to choose for your Wedding fascinator?

However a more wearable version of this is Hot Pink and Orange, or Teal and Purple. If your not brave enough to use the trend in a full outfit - accessories are the place to do it. Veiling is also very popular at the momentglasgow wedding bridal accessories bridal veils fascinators weddings glasgow.

For 2010 the colours are predicted to be cooler, with Autumn/Winter 2010/11 key colours being Purple, Lime and Sea Green. Colour combinations will be Mauve, Lime and Black with the introduction of Brown and Forrest Green. Invest in purple and it will last to winter 2010.

One colour to watch is Yellow over the next few seasons. At weddingandbaby.co.uk we keep abreast of the colour trends so why not be a trendsetter with our Yellow Fuzz. glasgow wedding bridal accessories bridal veils fascinators weddings glasgow

Ultimately pick a fascinator that suits your personality.  Bridal fascinators and birdcage veils can be the traditional ivory and white or more daring if you have a coloured dress.

The beauty of fascinators is that you can be as outrageous or as simple as you wish.  If you want to make a statement and be noticed then this is definitely the way to go.

Wedding and Baby offer credit crunching accessories that are still full on style. What's more some of our designs even incorporate removable items, for example broches. The fact that parts of these fascinators can be worn again in a different form makes these a truly sustainable accessory.

To meet all of our customers needs we launched our hire service in April where Fascinators can be hired for a week from as little as £5!

Headbands with the X Factor!

Just launched the LHG Designs - Celebrity Style Hair Accessories!

Mum of one Louise Graham, 32 of Paisley, is ensuring the ladies in the West of Scotland have Cheryl Cole's X Factor style this party season. Louise who set up Wedding and Baby almost a year ago, had been focusing on the Wedding market. However, Louise has designed her own range of hair accessories that can come straight from the aisle to the dance floor!

Louise Graham, of Wedding and Baby and the designer of the LHG collection says: “Vintage style has been very popular over the last year in the wedding buisness, but thanks to Cheryl Cole wearing a vintage style headband on Saturday's X Factor it shows how transferrable the style is. I have been inundated with people asking for celebrity style designs, it has blown me away. You can be sure this party season is going to be vintage headbands galore!”

Not only does Louise's designs have the X Factor they also have an ethical value too. Louise having set up the business during a recession realised people are looking for value for money. With this in mind her "Casey" headband, similar to the style worn by Cheryl Cole in the X Factor has an extra twist. This headband is multipurpose, as it can be converted into 3 brooches and worn again and again. So after the party why not give the brooches as Xmas gifts! It really is that simple, anyone can convert the design at home.

Headband owner, Casey Hill , says: “I contacted Louise asking her to design me a celebrity style vintage headband. She worked on various designs for me and was very patient. The finished design just blew me away, and I am honoured that she has now made it into a collection with a design named after me. I feel like a superstar wearing the Casey headband. It's a real head turner and I love it!" The range is being launched on the website this week and includes headbands, combs and cuff bracelets. There is also the option to hire the collection as well as buy. glasgow suppliers x factor headband celebrity head bands cheryl cole hairband
