ADVICE on the VIDEOGRAPHER
Most of the advice given for choosing a Photographer, applies also to choosing a Wedding Videographer: get personal recommedations, view their work, ask what is included in the package, ask how long they will stay and give the Videographer the same types of list as the Photographers - who's who and the particular bits you definetely wish to be videoed.
This is more important than you think as the Videographer may shoot 8 hours of film on your Wedding Daybut your finished video or DVD copy may only be 3 hours long - some editing has to take place and it may not be to your liking if you have not made your wishes clear to your Videographer! For example, do you only wish the Videographer to shoot the first few dances and then leave or do you wish a good part of the evening reception to be filmed? If so, what can be cut out from the day to include the evening reception?
Another important aspect to think about when you consider your finished DVD is will the Videographer allow you to choose your own songs as the overlay - most will, and you would provide a list of about 10 songs special to you for your Wedding DVD.
This is much better and personal to you as a couple than 10 songs you both hate which will make you watch your Wedding memories on mute!
Lastly, when discussing the cost of the WeddingVideography package, be sure to get a list of the prices for additional copies of DVDs or videos as this can be expensive! Check out our Videographers page to get some sample package prices!
